Important course information
This course is OPITO approved and is valid for UK waters and areas where OPITO courses are accepted.
It is expected that this programme will be taken after the OPITO approved BOSIET course. Both courses can be completed in the same week. If you do not complete these courses together, you will need to take the BOSIET course before travelling offshore, which means you should expect a small amount of repeat information. If in doubt, please check with the rig operator, as they will confirm whether you will be allowed to travel offshore without the MIST beforehand.
Validity of certificate
Validity of this certificate is 4 years, including OPITO registration.
The MIST course comprises 5 Assessable Units including theory and practical exercises covering the following areas:
