The Trauma First Response course is a one day continuing education course that teaches the principles of Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) to non-EMS practitioners. The course serves up the core PHTLS content to those who haven’t had EMT or advanced Pre-Hospital training. The lectures and practical stations are designed for the type of care first responders can render while awaiting patient transport or when assisting paramedics and EMT’s at a trauma scene. The course is designed to enable the student to care for trauma patients while serving as part of a transport team or awaiting a transport provider.This course is delivered by individuals with invaluable pre-hospital experience both in the UK and in remote and austere environments. Our faculty combines the expertise of paramedics and pre-hospital doctors and nurses.This course includes scene assessment, history and physical examinations to systematically manage life-threatening situations.
